I'm having this problem although I am able to mount the cds / dvds
through Dolphin although the first time it did ask me for my root
password. If I try using gnome mount:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnome-mount -vbd /dev/sdb
gnome-mount 0.8
but the cd remains unmounted.

I've experienced this problem with MATLAB 7.4.1 (R2007a) installed in my
user directory, on x86_64 - ashipika's suggestion of using

This happened to me on updating Gutsy to Hardy.
Same applies to me, BTW update-manager failed I did the upgrade by hand
...

More testings again :
update-grub2 echo 'done' doesn't print anything so it is the culprit. As
it's only a script that launch grub I assume it's because I only installed
grub-pc not grub that made the install fail.
Perhaps a dependancy on grub for desktop-base package could be added

Nautilus will use most of my system memory when viewing folders with video
files with a zoom of 150% or more. It will always crash and restart when memory
usage builds up to about 500M.
