I looked a bit at the code today to try to make apt-proxy-import create
hardlinks instead of copies, and although I am not a Python expert, I
found it really messy : there is a lot of useless code in there to

I'm so happy I'm not the only one experiencing this. This is quite
annoying and is wasting a lot of time and I'm losing work when
everything crashes. I have been able to Ctrl-alt-f2 and do a killall
nautilus and recovered without losing work but it doesn't always work
and you have to wait bout 2

I can confirm similar problems with Java 6 + Swing under Hardy. I also
have an nvidia card. The problem appears for instance on long lines of
text when scrolled horizontally, but other swing elements are affected
as well. Another machine running the same software stack but without the
nvidia card

I can confirm the problem appears on the oficial ubuntu hardy build of firefox
in 2 different PCs with Kubuntu Hardy.
I have also to add that the problem does not apprears with the mozilla build of
firefox.

The upstream changelog being missing apparently isn't a bug - as I'm
sure you know it was seen fit to disable upstream changelog
installations for most of the archive to make more space on the CD. The
Debian changelog should be there.

The problem persist for me with the intrepid intel driver, but only when
viewing a flash video (flv) file in full screen after seeing a high resolution
video in full screen.
Only the 2.3.1 driver form Debian apparently fixes the problem, but the
performance is very slow with compositing
