The configuration menu only lets you select one of the two drivers, but
I don't see a reason the two should conflict as long as you only allow
one of them to load.
Switching to the older driver is more of a workaround than a solution.

I guess amsn developers are dedicated to amsn 2, rewritting all code
into C++ and will no fix this problem of 0.97 version.
I think that they will use python instead of C++...

The last remaining patch in xfdesktop4 needs to be reverted, and a
xubuntu-specific desktop file to be added in xubuntu-default-settings.
This will allow people installing pristine xfce4 to have a working help
menu, and people installing xubuntu to open the xubuntu documentation
with this item.
