I have installed current jaunty and have the same bug. It happens during
shutdown/reboot.
The stacktrace looks the same, only the process that caused a bus is either
NetworkManager or wpa_supplicant. Killing those processes before
shutdown/reboot fixes the problem.

I have the same issue with Jaunty.
Here is the script to try same password for next device.
You can patch the file in place, or copy the file to
/etc/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/ before to patch it: it will override
the file in /usr/share.
Then run sudo update-initramfs -u.

Well, not really sure this is indeed a dupe of 324465. Backtrace looks
somewhat different and the partial fix for 324465 at least did not
change anything for me. Still crashes the same with up-to-date jaunty
Re-testing this situation on jaunty alpha 6 in an enterprise environment
with a Microsoft DHCP server, it's still not addressed.
The situation is therefore, one of:
- NTP syncs to ntp.ubuntu.com and silently maintains a constant offset from
our local timeserver

I also think that it would be a good idea to have a freeze exception for
this update and have jaunty released with this version instead of the
discontinued 1.4 release. The package is ready in Debian unstable for
syncing.
