I have a similar issue on samsung r70 laptop [Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty
Jackalope)], that after the shut down button is pressed, everything
seems to work correctly (short kernel messages with[ok] at the end
of the line; ubuntu logo appears;), but then laptop just hangs, that
power and wirelesslan
Okay found the problem!
It's the toshiba_acpi module, when loaded - all access to vt-x
functionality will cause a system lock up.
Without it loaded, all works beautifully.

The same for me with GeForce 7300 LE 512 mb and 180 driver.
Triggering the bug depends from use: playing many flash video freezes tha
manchine in a few seconds, while a moderated use seems not to tringger the bug
(at least for some hours).
Going back to the 173 driver solved the problem.

I really have no idea why this has status fix committed. I just
upgraded to from intrepid to jaunty and this one is still open. The
workaround helped, btw.

I get this on Jaunty on an IBM X30. Makes the netbook remix pretty much

After another few attempts, hours of configuring and reconfiguring I'm
