This is by design. To remove configuration files you should use sudo
apt-get remove --purge dnsmasq. The error you're getting at startup
comes from the fact that the dnsmasq-base package wasn't removed yet

the edge of the screen after a change (reduction) in screen resolution.

Krusader ask password, but don't open editor (Kate) with action edit as root
(CTRL+E)
That is, FF does not reset its screen limits for these items after a
screen resolution change while it's running. However, after restarting
FF, the new resolution seems to be respected. Nautilus, though, seems
to handle the resolution change for its menus, so maybe it's specific to
FF?

I've submitted a PPA build for the patched meanwhile for Jaunty. The
x86_64 version is built but the i386 version is still sitting in the
queue waiting to be built.
I haven't had time to upgrade to Jaunty yet, so when these are built can
someone please test them? I'll remove them if they're
/usr/lib/bluetooth/plugins/hal.so and
/usr/lib/bluetooth/plugins/service.so are not shipped any more in the
new bluez package.

Hi, I ran memtest and it reported no error. The very same laptop is
stable with no errors if booted from en external drive with intrepid.
