When it Crashed for me, it ( as far as I could tell) never actually
crashed. Unless it was before I got to the login screen or something, it
never visibly crashed. I'm not sure what crashing xorg would look like,

that the problem doesn't occur in Jaunty, so I presume it will be ok in
Karmic too. (I was able to get Intrepid to work by forcing it to keep nm

also tried on a 32bit laptop that also uses the wl driver but another
chip, there i get an ip6 address.

I build a new set of test kernels against the current Hardy kernel.
However, if this really should get fixed, I need someone who is affected

Is this a disk that has worked before? I'm completely guessing as I
don't have lsdvd on any Ubuntu systems, but on other systems I've seen
crashes with interesting discs. I'd done a hacky patch to it to make it

there will be no more bugfix releases, and updates in general will be
limited to those fixing
This bug seems to be with a11y-keyboard. We were having problems with it
in Ubuntu 9.04 64bit, running Maya (same as Bug #392746 ). Disabling the
a11y-keyboard plug-in with gconf-editor seems to make this bug go away.
