I really hope this will be fixed sometime, I'm using 1366x768
resolution on a laptop and have done the fix issued above and it
looks/works great. Having a full screen dash does indeed seem out of

There should be a small panel in the gnome-settings like in MacOSX which
can be dragged onto the primary monitor (See link
http://osxdaily.com/2010/04/27/set-the-primary-display-mac/). Currently
this bug is a real pain as I get hurt in my neck. ;)

I can confirm this problem of a partly untranslated computer-janitor in
Maverick for German localization, too. The corresponding string was
translated to German on 2010-09-03 [1] but shows up in english in
Maverick. Please see attached screenshot.
