I changed my upstart script to ensure both the bridge and the md0 device
(on which the LVM volume is located) are started before libvirt is
started. In my situation this makes sure all my virtual machines can be

On a functional level perhaps it is worth considering whether Network
Manager, on stopping, should simply leave the interfaces as currently
configured instead of taking them down. I can make the argument that
Network Manager is a tool to make it easy for the user to control
network interfaces,
I can reproduce this just using lxc, which simply attaches an endpoint
of a veth tunnel to the bridge. With balance-rr mode, i can't dhcp in
the guest. With balance-alb, I can.
That means this is not actually qemu-kvm, but a bug in the kernel or
(unlikely) ifenslave.

My next steps will be to test on maverick and natty, look through
linux-2.6/drivers/net/bonding and linux-2.6/net/bridge/ and perhaps go
to the https://lists.linux-

linux-restricted-modules package. lrm-2.4.24 was shipped with Ubuntu
8.04 which reached end-of-life for desktop support on May 12th, 2011.
For that reason, this bug report is being closed at this time. I'm

For the record, I think it was decided to check if the Vostro 1015 we
have has a hw error (it seems wired wrong according to #22) or if this
is the case for all Vostro 1015.

I got the same problem after upgrading to natty.
Got high latency problem and also the link quality is low (as reported by
iwconfig) with rt2800usb.
With rt2870sta it works fine.
Workaround: I've tried disabling power save mode and it really improves latency
issue:
iwconfig wlan0 power off
but
but why mine is wrong? I enlarged the window.
