[Bug 790145] Re: kvm husb: ctrl buffer too small
@Chris: Indeed the queuediff output is confusing here. In these special cases, when a version got removed/superseded from -proposed, Launchpad will generate a confusing diff (against the removed SRU, not against what's actually in Ubuntu). Doing a manual debdiff against lucid-updates looks very reasonable. ** Changed in: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu Lucid) Status: Incomplete = Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790145 Title: kvm husb: ctrl buffer too small To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu-kvm/+bug/790145/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Hi all, unfortunatelly it is still wrong in apache2 2.2.14-5ubuntu8.4 My fix to this issue: I downloaded from http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/i386/apache2.2-bin/download 2.2.16 deb binary. The June release was released a couple of hours ago, with cleanups and bug fixes. This should be noted in the changelog: * A few enhancements to Unity: XFCE support, better interaction with the other (Ubuntu's) Unity and compositing window managers, better X error handling, and a few bug fixes. I'm going to push the June release shortly to my Virtual Test PPA (or build it within the VM using pbuilder, and if built successful, I'll then push it to the repo). [Bug 589453] Re: mail command in mailutiils hangs and has to be killed.
I think this bug is invalid. Control-D is just a way to simulate an end of file. In a cron job or a script, where one pipes the output of another program into /usr/bin/mail, a real EOF occurs naturally. Note that the last period is not needed; if you include it, it becomes part of the message body. According to the documentation, [i]f mail variable dot is set, typing dot (‘.’) on a line alone achieves the same effect as ‘C[ontrol]-D’. I've tested this (adding set dot to ~/.mailrc before invoking the mail command) and it works (in lucid). So: 1) if you want a single dot by itself to terminate input, set the mail variable dot. This can be done in /etc/mail.rc if you want to change the system-wide default. 2) Terminating the message on EOF is a perfectly viable option for scripts and cron jobs in my experience. ** Changed in: mailutils (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/589453 Title: mail command in mailutiils hangs and has to be killed. [Bug 762032] Re: alt+tab broken with click-to-focus off
I'm confused as to your statement that it's not of high importance for a particular use-case. To be honest, I think your info may be wholly inaccurate. This is not some corner case regarding desktop behavior. It's a MAJOR use of X, period. Focus-follows-click or focus-follows-mouse. Those have been the 2 options since I started using Motif back in 1993. It's been true on every single UNIX and Linux flavor that I've ever used: FreeBSD, SunOS 4.x, Solaris 2.X, IRIX, OSF/1, HP-UX, AIX, RHL, RHEL, Fedora, Mandrake, Ubuntu-up-until-this-release-that-decided-to- break-a-major-use-case. I'm all for having this resolved, but the speed with which updates are being put out for Unity, and the patently obvious disregard for such a major issue in favor of other issues speaks volumes to me about the distro's priorities. I'm grateful for Ubuntu. I really am. And to the devs, testers, and architects who worked tirelessly to give us something for free. But since it's free, I can't vote with my wallet to protest something. I don't even want to protest. I just want my mouse and alt- tab to work properly, like they have for the last 18 years. Hell - is anyone up the Ubuntu chain even reading this? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/762032 Title: alt+tab broken with click-to-focus off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/762032/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 668415] Re: Movement of Unity launcher
We want the launcher always close to the Ubuntu button. Who is we? Apparently not Ubuntu's users, since there is apparently a huge numer of users asking for this feature - as the various comments and bugs marked duplicate shows. Wasn't Ubuntu all about the users? This really reminds me of Pidgin's stupid We won't make the input text- field resizable, since it does not fit into our broader design goals or Gnome's We won't give you a GUI option to switch of the blinking cursor in a terminal, since non-blinking cursors confuse the user and does not fit into our broader design goals -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/668415 Title: Movement of Unity launcher To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/null/+bug/668415/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
