I seem to have found an alternative workaround. In gnome-tweaks (advanced
settings) , under Desktop, choose have file manager handle the desktop to
off. It seems to me that this makes the invisible windows bug to disappear.
The price, I guess,
is that you do not have icons on the desktop

First, problems can occur because there may be open files on the device
when the system is suspended. Due to delays in enumeration, the external
device will not immediately be back when the system is resumed. Thus,
the effect is that of essentially unplugging the device without

Did all Ubuntu Auto-Updates last night 11/29.
If the fix was released before that, as I saw in the email that stated the fix
was released, it
didn't fix my upgrade from 10.04 to 11.10.
I have less then 6-Users, one is UID of 997 and it still shows as
[Invalid UTF-8].

No, I don't use sound menu. I just launch gmusicbrowser from menu and
control media with keyboard.

Many thanks Quentin!! It work perfectly, now I can launch the player
from menu without any problem (I tried also launching it from sound
menu, same result)

I have the same behavior with precise (x64). Twin-View works but with separate
X-screen setup, nautilus crashes when right-clicking on the white background in
the second (hdmi-)screen (:0.1).
Only possible option to use that :0.1 -screen: moving the mouse in that screen
(to move focus to it),

When I use the interface, everything is just messed up. The top bar (the one
with the clock) is badly rendered, with distorted colors, grainy icons (the
app loading animation icons looks like old TV's static). Some font characters
are in the same situation.

Last night DST was ending in Germany. The clock in Ubuntu was not adjusted. In
addition it is not possible to adjust the clock manually. Switching to an from
manual time set has no effect, just as changing the time in manual mode.

steps to reproduce:
1) right click on the desktop
2) Desktop Preferences
3) in Advanced tab check the box. (Show menus provided by window managers)
Now when you right click on your desktop you'll see different menu. BUT THERE'S
NO WAY TO GET PREVIOUS MENU BACK
