be moved fine), but I've currently got Compiz disabled and the current
Linux version of Chrome doesn't appear to have the translucent tab

Oh, my apologies. dconf-service is new to precise so you don't need that
for Ubuntu 11.10 (nor is it available there).
I don't know what the problem is. If installing ubuntu-desktop fixes it,

What on earth is going on? All upgrades past 10.10 have been nothing
but problems.
Firefox continuously freezes. I am sometimes unable to get a cursor and
I have tried to report this problem several times, but when I get to
this page I am not able to get a cursor to type
I try but it doesn't work.
