The problem probably lies in Unity 5.2 using a newer way to determine
the background colour of themes (possibly using Unico) and that's not
working for some reason.
Since it can't be reproduced on Precise with the same PPA build, this
bug is invalid for now. It doesn't affect any version of Unity
Confirmed; I can reproduce this bug.
Unfortunately... so has my wife, who learned the volatility of /tmp the hard
way today. :-/
When user selects to save-as for a file that is in /tmp, it should

just fine.
However, the latest x11-common continuously fails with the same head: not
found
error message. I did attempt sudo apt-get clean in a terminal and this did
appear to
force the download

Thank you.
After unity --reset the top bar and side bar were back.
So, once more, I've enabled Compiz Wallpaper plugin. Then the top bar and side
bar are not shown after boot. Pressing dash key, the bars appear and everything
works great. The only minor problem is that the bars are
