on our Lucid machines, and have figured out the reason why it is being
triggered on lucid UEC installations. The Eucalyptus front-end
components (cloud, walrus, sc) require that, on startup, the network

The best theory that I have about this bug is that it's related to some
sort of failure in the NSS lookups for the current user, resulting in
the ticket cache permissions not being changed, but I can't entirely
reconcile this with the debugging messages you're seeing.

Stephen, I am sorry that you feel this way. As I said, solution is to
install digikam from karmic-backports repository. You can install just
digikam (and kipi-plugins), if you are concerned about unsupported
status of backports (to prevent other backported packages to install).

Hi,
I am running a HP NC6220 also with the i915 driver on Ubuntu Karmic
9.10. For me there are similar problems as the ones above. After opening
the lid again (or only touching the screen off sensor which happens a
lot with this laptop model) the screen flickers insanely and the mouse
moves

I checked the code if nothing happens it should kill the update after a
certain amount of time and it should also do logging via syslog.

No, it's not fixed in Karmic.
(I personally think that requiring bug submitters to respond to 'please
retest' pings is counterproductive; there are some arguments along these
lines here:

In regards to the release notes ( don't see how to file a bug there
then configure your xorg.conf with:
sudo nvidia-config
That's actually caused some confusion, should be
sudo nvidia-xconfig
