From the CC+SC, I can ping and try to connect by ssh to the karmic instance.

OK, further testing reveals there are two issues:
* The FORWARD chain is blocking connections from CLC to instance
* The CC doesn't know the way to the metadata service (missing VNET_CLOUDIP)
Defaulting to accept on the FORWARD chain works around the first issue:
sudo iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT

That's what I originally found, but then when I tried to reproduce the fix I
also needed to tweak the FORWARD rule to connect from CLC to instance. I guess
I got something wrong.
Dan, can we set VNET_CLOUDIP on the CC in all cases,
euca-authorize sets up a rule that is specific to a user/security group.
For example, if you are using admin credentials and the group you're
authorizing is 'default', then the rule will apply to all instances run

I'm moving this from wishlist to legitimate bug because it used to be
that the file contained hostnames, so even if you didn't notice the line
number you could grep for the machine or its ip. Now this info appears

I can't use that workaround: my router doesn't support AES... what can I

this button, it puts computer to stand by mode and the application does

Rollbacks are not supported by the apt backend (and any other backend).
Kpackagekit shows a disabled rollback button on the transaction history
dialog. The button should be hidden if not supported by the used
backend, since it isn't possible

Actually, I think my getting thrown out of KDM was caused by me
accidentally hitting ALT+n (console login) instead of ALT+m when trying
to activate the KDM menu.
