calling as ESX host is it's own vCenter. They are all able to talk to

asking, I'm not at all familiar with rubygems and bundler, and the
rubygems-integration package versions available in Ubuntu do not seem to
match what was mentioned in this bug so far:
$ rmadison rubygems-integration
reinstalling the software from HP
https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/gethplip
fixed the problem.

sudo apt install --reinstall hplip hplip-data
I got the following error.
