Its fixed, sort of. I needed to remove the linux line "maybe-ubiquity"
for it to boot to a desktop. Leaving "maybe-ubiquity" in, I was left

when using control +F on Gnome using thunar i do see a search box it
could be an issue with the keyboard shortcut mapping in the Desktop
Environment. I tested this on a fresh install of 20.04 LTS version of
Ubuntu Linux OS.

Now that we have the 5.8 kernel in HWE for focal, all my servers are
