Paul got not running the bluetooth with your tutorial, but if this way.
I have dual boot (with XP), and whether active in the bluetooth windows, upon
his return to ubuntu that it works.
I think Windows XP takes control at the start of Bluetooth and therefore were
not triggered.

It seems that there was a configuration file obsolete.
In my case it was the file ~/.drirc
If you delete the file, glxinfo back.
rm ~/.drirc

I have a ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 SE and have the same problems.
Jaunty can't run fglrx.
fglrx BREAK ubuntu, the open source driver not have enough power.
This need to be fixed before 9.04!! Go ATI release your new drivers such
as open source!!

The kernel 2.6.27.10-20 in intrepid-proposed doesn't help.

I found a temporaly and dirty fix.
Rename de config folder for transmission and when it start then it
generate a new folder clean
$ mv ~/.config/transmission ~/.config/transmission_backup
$ transmission
Then start transmission.
