I'm with Dapper.
Writting dvds was already hard with Breazy and I had the same problem in
Dapper. I had to restart after I burned a dvd. I was never able to burn a
second one without doing so.
Meanwile it appened exacly this bug. I have a Gigabyte
the installation booting from RedHat enterprise cdrom and then
manually adding the redhat kernel to the non-working ubuntu filesystem,
configuring grub and rebooting with hard-disk went fine.
If i recall the problem it is only with the 64bit version of the kernel.

Converted it to .deb using the --buildpkg Ubuntu/hardy, and installed the
xorg-driver-fglrx and the amdcccel.

I don't have Automatix2 installed, and was experiencing the same problem. Was,
because I formated the computer and installed 7.10 from scratch.
Before I did an upgrade from Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10, and was when i had the

just going through the install everything goes through setup wise and then
about 21% into the installations of the system files it pops up a window with
INSTALLER CRASHED.

Hi, i install ubuntu 7 on xeon intell raid o but i have some problem with raid
configuration the comand dmraid -r give me the message no raid disp and i have

I can confirm this bug on two computers using latest Firefox3 and KDE3,
as Jennifer described. Choosing another gnome style (Raleigh) helps
though.
