Desktop plugin to active with his branch is gives you an option to Not
enable Show Desktop plugin or Disable Unityshell plugin. So this branch

Dash...but then the dash keeps getting drawn (As you notice the panel
doesn't think an overlay is open). So it seems like it loses track of

Alt F1 keynav mode is not disabled when the Hud is open

I cannot reproduce this bug in unity 5.0 trunk nor in unity 6.0 trunk
(20-30+ tries). I can reproduce this though running 12.04 in a few tries
though.

The solution is to figure out how to block keyboard focus from the
panels when the overlay is open! (hopefully a fix soon).
