except for the 'ALC883 digital' entry when there is no sound at all
tried all settings like
Auto;ALC883 analog; ALC883 Digital; ALSA; OSS and Pulse
I can choose any system-sound-event but none does give
You can reboot with all 'problem' devices disconnected, and then with
sudo nautilus
delete all references to these devices in /media/
if some wo'nt get deleted, delete the others and reboot again. and then
delete the remaining

When trying to readout my PhotoTrackr under Intrepid with current
updates, it does not work anymore. it used to work with Hardy.
After some dissecting I found the 'usbserial' driver is not inserted
automatically on connecting.

I upgraded to Intrepid yesterday, and it is still not working right,
although the symptoms are slightly different.
as I connect there start 2 programs, the first is f-spot (0.4.4), which
report as above mentioned, only instead of the unspecified error, I get
an error like screenshot 3.

I found that the 'options' file had the '#' mentioned due to debugging
this iTU4l.pl script as described in the link mentioned in modinfo.txt
I removed the rubbish and this bug seems gone. Now to report another bug
against 'stty' as it is not able to set /dev/ttyACM0

I will try to install something intrepid/jaunty -64 on the same partition I
reported the failure earlier, but I do not think this has to do with bug
149832, as the install partition was already occupied with ext3 (and Gutsy-386).
But it could have something to do with the swapping/addition of
no compiz running; that is, it should run but desktop-effects cannot be
enabled, as the nvidia 180.35 driver is not recognized by compiz. (it is
working)

MSI-Wind U90 decided it needed to report some crashes.
Firefox is running and gets 1 extra tab for reporting 1 of the crashes, then
Midbrowser opens also to report another
