Since I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 beta, tapping the touchpad with
three fingers at the same time does not double-click anymore. It worked

When update-notifier is run, it displays the crash-report window.
Whether I pick the Cancel option or Report bug then type my
password, the crash-report window comes back after a second or two.

Oops, mistake in the bug description: it's middle-click, not double-click.
A three-finger tap is supposed to emulate a middle button, and used to before
the upgrade to 11.10.

I was asked in 858812 but it was marked duplicate so I'll answer here:
in my case it happened on an installed system (not a live CD). But it
hasn't reoccured since a long time.
