I also have the same problem.
I first installed kubuntu 8.19 beta on a partition. After that I deleted my
other partitions and merged them with my kubuntu partition. That screwed my
grub and I had to grub-install from my live cd. After that there is no last
good boot and As mentioned in the bug

I had this issue after I was moving my partition around. I increased the
sizes of my / and swap partion after removing some of existing partition
which changed UUID of swap after performing the solution mentioned my
splash screen is back

is no last good boot entry in grub menu. I tried sudo update-grub but

Flash is working correctly for me. Problem is when i play multimedia
files. For example if i search temple on answers.com there is a link to
its pronunciation http://www.answers.com/temple - a symbol with volume

When i open an ogg file a black shade fills 3/4th of the screen. With
firefox beta 4 if navigate away from the page everything goes back
normal but with fire fox beta 5 the black shade remains and i can run no
application only way is to kill x server.

I have this problem when i ran amarok with strace This is what i got

What issue? I dealt with the warning issue by changing the /etc/fstab file like
this
i put defaults,uid=1000,umask=007 at the options part. It removed the
warnings. but the core issue still remains moved files remain at the source. I
hope someone will come up with a solution.

What surprised me was I got a freeze with UXA ON on 2.6.29 kernel. I could not
collect the debug info coz I was not on 30 kernel at that time.
I could not find any files on /sys/kernel/debug/dri/ and I did mount debugfs

I thought UXA was the perfect solution for me and it was for past week.
But now I am having frequent freezes even with UXA ON, though repro.sh
won't trigger it. It seems that moving back to intrepid is a viable
option.

This freeze is occuring only with 2.6.28 kernel. Its working perfectly in
2.6.29.1 kernel.
But in 2.6.30.rc2 kernel it gives a blank screen but no X freeze. I can switch
virtual terminals and caps lock keys works , which was not in the case of
2.6.28 kernel.
There is one more bug I reported
I was planning to switch to fedora 11 when rc is released. Now dropped
that plan. So now the only option for a good desktop for intel users is
to switch back to intrepid. Considering this is in upstream for some
time, I think by the time this is fixed it will be time for ubuntu 9.10
.

UXA with 2.6.28 kernel has a lot of side effects like switch user fails. I
installed kernel 2.6.29.1 and xserver-xorg-video-intel from xorg-edgers .
This seems to have fixed all of the UXA issues I faced and I am not having any
freezes.

I have a file named 調整大小20050812(004).jpg. Which was in a folder which was also
named like that. and inside the folder there was files like 1.jpg.
When I tried to open the file either 1.jpg or 調整大小20050812(004).jpg it was
saying file not found.

Applications like amarok, kmail, dolphin, dragon player has some parts of the
display corrupted. which can be removed by making them redrawn on screen but
reappears.
I am attaching screenshot of them.

I also have this same problem. Using a fully updated jaunty beta with
intel graphics. The crashes are occurring randomly. Mostly when I use
Kmail or firefox. Can any one tell me how to debug this system freezing.
