Same problem here on Ubuntu 11.10 as outlined.
The following workarounds did NOT work for me:
* padsp kino
* pasuspender -- kino
* entering default as audio device
* entering any other existing audio device which is in /dev/snd/

Thanks a lot for this. The touchscreen Glancetron GT15plus (lsusb
output: ID 0eef:0001 D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd eGalax TouchScreen) was
not fully working with the default kernel of Ubuntu 10.10. Clicking
worked but the cursor would jump to the top left corner of the screen at
each click.

After more testing, let me correct my own bug description:
If the screen is touched at any position, the cursor will never jump to
that position. Only when the finger is moved the cursor jumps and the
Drag and Drop behaviour is correct.

Open Office Writer crashes for me during rendering of a single Mail
Merged Document (File - Print), but only if the document contains a
