Isn't it possible to remove UUIDs altogether? So that each partition is
identified with it's address (like /dev/sda8 for my swap) instead of the
UUIDs which can keep changing. What's the advantage of keeping UUIDs?

This is not a problem with gParted. It simply resized the partition as
it was supposed to. This is just to request for an easy way of fixing
the problem of changing UUIDs for swap partitions in fstab.

other operating system, I am offered to cancel the print when my printer
runs out of paper. This is very useful, especially when I click print by
mistake, or ask it to print more pages that I wanted to. Is this not

If we're going to go so far as to have Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab,
Firefox users may also enjoy Ctrl+Page Up and Ctrl+Page Down. I use the
later instead of the former because of its intuitiveness and ease of
use. Hopefully this will be implemented in Nautilus as well.

OK. Sorry, this is an old bug, I know.
But I printed 16 pages this morning, and everything was fine. Ten
minutes ago, I needed to print some more, and I clicked print from
Evince. I got this error. I didn't cancel the job and decided to Google
this problem. Around five minutes later, the printer

is just some error in your fstab file. (I don't know why).
I suggest you post this problem on the forums. Mention the address of
each partition (/dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, etc) and post your fstab file. I'm

The save dialog box has the irritating habit of not focusing on the file
name area once I have browsed to the location where I would like to save
my document. This is done better in Windows.

When the location bar has buttons for a folder that has been deleted, the
buttons remain there, until a different folder is opened. They also remain
there even after I get Please check the spelling and try again. error.

After I killed soffice.bin, it completed the upgrade without errors (the
config window was actually a warning to close all oo processes).

package openoffice.org-emailmerge 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Although OO might not be running, you can try
$ killall soffice.bin
It worked for me.
