I had the widescreen resolution for my projector set up fine in 7.10,
but I have been living with Low resolution mode since I upgraded to
8.04. Something has obviously changed and broken things and I have no
idea what.
I have tried every driver I can and nothing has fixed
to be in though. This kind or problem would
send many people straight back to windows.
Thanks for replying

After playing with the .fdi file a bit more, I've found that a more
generic match works which will probably add support for a number of
other devices:
match key=info.product contains=AUDIO PLAYER
addset key=portable_audio_player.access_method.protocols
type=strliststorage/addset
append

basically on some widgets the

I'd like to say that this bug is still apparent for me on my HP Pavilion
dv400 notebook, even since I have just done a clean installation of
Hardy. The scroller on the right of the trackpad initially works fine
but sometimes after resuming from suspend, the scroll bar is not
reconfigured. It is
I have an HP dv4000 notebook (about 3 years old now) and also had to add
the '/etc/modprobe.d/ipw2200' file to make the LED work. This is after I
just did a clean install of Hardy, so what do we need to do to get this
turned on by default, and are there any reasons why it shouldn't be
done?

All-upper-case files/folders names appear as lower-case
I have a VAIO A617s which is essentially the same model (looks the same)
I have updated my Gusty install to Hardy and am sad to report that the problem
remains.
The behaviour is identical to that described above.

Laptop Special keys do not work on Sony Vaio VGN-A190
I've had the same problem, but it was not because of the connection
neighter was it because I was too impatient. I just had to remove some
extra repositories and it worked like a charm. So a better notification-
system in the GUI (anything is better tha none) would have probably been
helpful.
