[Bug 1269898] Re: Python 3.4 failures

2014-01-21 Thread Daniel T Chen
Seems to be deeper than these errors, even. While resolving the build
failures in a pristine sbuild using the python3-all addition, I'm seeing
timeout failures. If I then add python2.7-all to the b-d, then I receive
many test failures due to test/test_mainfeatures.py (line 69), since
/tmp/oneconf-test/cache/ exists.

harminv (1.3.1-9) unstable; urgency=low

  * debian/control: add Build-Conflicts against libatlas-base-dev. If the
latter is installed, the build system detects and links against some

Thanks a lot to Sebastien Villemot for analysing the problem and

[Bug 1055435] Re: [FFe][needs-packaging] new package classicmenu-indicator

2013-03-21 Thread Daniel T Chen
Graham, a good pointer is at http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-
announce/2006/03/msg00023.html . So while it's fine not to include an
entire copy of LGPL3, it's best practice to reference it on the local
Debian{,-derivative} system along the lines at
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/dreq.en.html#copyright .

Graham, to clarify, in the previous comment I was referring to the

2013-01-21 Thread Daniel T Chen
Among the many, many errors returned by dpkg in this dist-upgrade, this
is the first (that triggered the message):

[Bug 708581] Re: jack_oss.so (OSS driver) missing in /var/lib/jack

2012-10-03 Thread Daniel T Chen
OSSv4 seems like it would be a fairly small portion of the jackd2 Linux
userbase. At least from the Ubuntu side, it makes sense not to compile
or ship OSS support if said support has already been removed from the
audio stack.

Would it be an adequate compromise to compile and ship only the OSS
support in a separate binary package?

Thank you both for your work on this defect. A few notes:
1. The pocket is precise-proposed (instead of precise).
2. The version is better as 3.99.3+repack1-1ubuntu0.1 (instead of
3.99.3+repack1-1ubuntu1).
3. Please submit this fix upstream,

[Bug 932096] Re: [armel] Pulseaudio crashes other program using sound: Assertion 'pthread_mutex_unlock(m-mutex) == 0'

2012-03-01 Thread Daniel T Chen
Just a note that my core i7 machine sees a *ton* of pthread_mutex*()
crashes on precise that I cannot reproduce on oneiric. Because I'm
seeing this in Rhythmbox, cinnamon, colord, etc., I don't think this is
a pulseaudio-specific issue.

disabling of RC6 specified on the kernel command line. I've tested with

Re: [Bug 935965] Re: RC6 enabled causes severe graphics corruption

2012-02-19 Thread Daniel T Chen
Most of the artifacts are portions of application windows that do not
refresh properly, e.g., they remain across all virtual desktops. With
slightly lesser frequency are triangular textures that consume a quarter to
a third of the upper or lower horizontal edge of the virtual desktop. With
very limited frequency are flashes or flickers of the entire current
virtual desktop when switching to another virtual desktop using the
keyboard shortcuts.

I'll attempt to snap a photo.

[Bug 935965] [NEW] RC6 enabled causes severe graphics corruption

2012-02-18 Thread Daniel T Chen
Public bug reported:

Running current 12.04 (as of Sun Feb 19 01:15:24 EST 2012) and
experiencing severe graphics corruption with RC6 enabled. Appending
i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 to the kernel command line upon reboot results
in a usable Unity session.

[Bug 932834] Re: Enable equalizer

(Clarified Precise decision by marking it as a rejected feature - won't fix)
It's unlikely that a new version will go into precise-backports; bugs in the
dbus-proto module need to be fixed before it's considered for precise+1.
