When using "/bin/sh" (dash) as a shell for ssh, or just starting /bin/sh
in a terminal, when the shell receives a wall message (from another user
or root), it just quits.
How to reproduce:
- start a terminal (xterm, gnome-terminal, etc), usually starts with bash
- from bash
I've attached two straces, -bad when dash exits after receiving a wall
message, and good when dash does NOT exit after a wall, only after I
press Ctrl+D.

Simon, no problem.
The AFXR gets stuck at the CERT record. But it seems that only the mysql
backend has this problem, if used with the BIND backend the zone gets
transferred correctly with foo\032bar record.
With the mysql backend it gets stuck at the CERT record and doesn't transfer
anything,
YEah, seems like in a rush I got confused, tested with mysql backend and
found another bug. But at least we know that the bind backend works ok
with the zone in PDNS 3.0 (that's what I was testing with).
I see that there's only PDNS 2.9.22 in Ubuntu, so this may still need
fixing. This however is
Confirmed in Lucid with pdns 2.9.22-9ubuntu2 . If the zone doesn't have
a zone file, it gets transferred, with unescaped space between foo
bar, but then at the next reload, it can't load the zone because that
record is incorrect.

lea-gris: can you post some specifics about that system, what's it used
for or what samba-related stuff do you have set up, did you make any
changes to freshclam's config, etc. ?
I'm curious as to why freshclam tries to access that file.

Public bug reported:
When using clamscan virus scanner plugin with qpsmtpd, it dies with the
following error message:
Fri Aug 19 20:08:45 2011 utest-oos32[5453]: clamscan results:
/usr/bin/clamscan: unrecognized option `--config-file=/etc/clamd.conf'
ERROR: Unknown option passed
ERROR: Can't
Attached a minimal patch for clamav plugin which should take care of
this. Tested and working on Oneiric, the error message is gone and the
mail gets scanned and flagged correctly.

Finally filed bug #829649 for qpsmtpd because it's clamav-related. This
comment is just a clarification that that bug was already present when
clamav 0.96 got backported/SRU'd, so it shouldn't affect this SRU.

I've checked /usr/share/qpsmtpd/plugins/virus/clamav file all the way
back to Hardy and this bug seems to affect every release. More so
because every release has at least clamav 0.96.5 in
backports/security/updates.

Public bug reported:
Testing MIMEDefang with sendmail and clamav-daemon I've found a problem.
It seems that clamav-daemon's apparmor denies read access to
mimedefang's temporary files, as seen in the logs:
/var/log/mail.log:
Aug 19 01:50:44 utest-nns32 mimedefang.pl[4544]: p7IMohM5005045: Clamd
Adding the following rule to /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.clamd resolves the
problem apparently

Scanning works:

Tested clamav 0.97.2 package from -proposed on Natty.
For the most part everything works just fine, except bug #829089 which
is not a show-stopper but could be fixed before this SRU.
For the detailed test results see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Clamav .
Also backported it to Hardy and using it
