I appreciate the thoughtful explanation, and I wasn't aware of the
Debian policy that strongly discourages shipping programs as libraries.
Working around that policy, it looks like the problem still could be
addressed by breaking out separate library and runtime packages.

-catkin-lint`. The Python libs are in the `python3-catkin-lint` package

Currently the blank screen manifest every other boot. Can either enter
pass phase blind or Ctrl+alt+del, to force reset then screen is visible.

Just installed the 9.04 beta into a new Vmware workstation VM. All ok
until I tell Vmware to use an iso as the virtual CD. File manager
repeatedly tries to auto-start, but repeatedly fails. Stops trying when
I tell Vmware to roce unmount to iso image.
