Same here, Gnome Shell 3.12.2 on Ubuntu 12.04. Gnome Shell freezes
randomly, for few seconds and comes back after few seconds. During
freeze I can move mouse.
I guess this is caused by some of extensions, because Gnome Shell runs
on single thread using async JavaScript. So if an extension does a

After upgrading from 11.04 to 11.10, all graphics became very slow. When
switching windows with Alt+Tab I even can see how windows are redrawing.

Pleas return back xterm.desktop file.
Now Unity, Gnome Shell, Gnome-do, all of them recognize programs by
their associated .desktop file.
Because of missing xterm .desktop file it is not possible to add xterm
to unity's or gnome-shell's dash, also it is not possible to launch
xterm trough
Fixed by changing it to „Hibernuoti“. Official Lithuanian dictionary
suggests, that „Hibernate“ should bet translated to „Užmigdyti“. But in
this case it is confusing.

In my case problem was related with full disk. Because Asus Eee 701 has
only 4GB, I created only on partition for root directory.
When I logged to console with Ctrl+Alt+F1, checked disk usage:
$ df -h
And it showed, that there is no space left.
When I deleted some files, I could again log in.
Anyway, user should be able to login and see notification about low
space. Because now average user just can't use his computer... :/

frequent, now I'm using LXDE without Compiz, but once a week my laptop

Don't know if this is related to -intel driver, but I have same problem.
When I shut down my laptop, most of the times I ended up with blank
screen and flashing led of HDD in my laptop.
I just installed http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/x11/xserver-xorg-
video-i810 from hardy. Dependencies was ok.
I installed this .deb via gdebi. After first run I got this:
tilda: error while loading shared libraries: libconfuse.so.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
After installing libconfuse0:
sudo apt-get install libconfuse0
Tilda started to work and it seems,
I was happy, when Tilda on fresh Gutsy install runs even that it became
gray and unusable. But now after a week of using Gutsy Tilda doesn't
shows up at all... :(

With this version Tilda crashes just after first run. Only if I remove
configuration (~/.tilda) then Tilda's configuration window appears, but after
that, again, no Tilda window and even no process.
I trying to use Tilda for a half year, but during this time I have never seen it
working properly.

% tilda
after this, tilda configuration window appears. I do not change any thing, and
just press „OK“. After that tilda window appears just for a second, and then
