This did work in Maverick and Natty. For some reason the detection was
dropped but the laptop testing question still expects a music player to
be detected as such. If it is decided that it is no longer desirable or
feasible to detect a media player specifically we can redo the test
question so it
Don't disable it. The test assumes that you have not established a
wireless network as of yet. It might not be the best way to have to
reestablish wireless connectivity, I'm not sure that that alone makes it
a bug though. IMHO

went to psmouse.conf and commented out the command and the kernel found
my ALPS PS/2 Glidepoint. I have nothing more than primitive mouse

With Oneiric Alpha 1 this touchpad is detected as a PS/2 mouse and an
ALPS Glidepoint. When I created a etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf file
with the entry options psmouse proto=imps, to regain right edge
scrolling it stopped detecting the touchpad all together.

On snr-002 the laptop failed to go to sleep on all automated tests.
On snr-003 the laptop booted up as it would in a cold start situation with no
applications started.
This test passed in Natty.

Honestly, at this point, I don't know for sure what type of touchpad this
is. The machine thinks it is a PS/2 wheel mouse. Tpconfig says it's
synaptics. If anything, at this time, there is too much information about
this subject all over the LINUX landscape. is there any definitive webpage

Testing Natty Beta 1 ,in Unity. When muting volume through the gnome-
volume-control icon drop down or in the volume control program
preferences, the icon vanishes from the top panel.. After unchecking
mute in the program window the icon reappears.
