I get the same result trying to download WUBI or trying to run a previously successful download on my Windows XP Pro SP3 system. I suspect a recent change somewhere since I had no trouble installing 9.04 on a laptop about a week ago. Pyrun.exe takes such a death grip that it can't be canceled with Task Manager.
