This is a Proxmox 5.4-3 VM,
A fresh PyCharm installation is present on the server.
After the bug occurred, the upgrade appears to have completed without
noticeable issues, but I didn't perform an extensive test.

I can confirm the issue being related to something empathy does, in particular
I noticed it happening when resuming from suspend:
- I get some automated messages from nickserv and channel bots, the icons
indicates two messages per channel
- if I right click on the icon and select remove,
I can confirm it still happens on Ubuntu 12.04 with Empathy 3.4.1

PiTiVi takes forever to render

On Ubuntu 11.10, after suspend, it doesn't reconnect to IRC networks
(gimpnet and freenode) until I disable and re-enable the accounts.
In the attached log it wasn't connecting and I did the thing stated above, so
you get the before and the after.
I also obscured my usernames for privacy
Same here with nvidia-glx-96.
It also happen if I disable compiz but enable metacity compositor.
I also tried to install OOo3 from here:

but nothing changed.
No problems at all with compositing disabled.

I'm having the same issue with Hardy, reproducing the steps above produces
exactly the same effects.
Plus, here the screen doesn't ever go to sleep, even without running mplayer

same here, with a fresh Gutsy install and a wacom graphire4.
With a normal session everything works fine, with XGL I don't get extended
devices.

I solved by running a newer version of f-spot (0.4.0), but I had to do
some other stuff to have it working:
(on Ubuntu 7.04)
- dump the database with sqlite to a flat file (sqlite photos.db .dump
flat-file.dump)
- backup the original photos db (mv photos.db photos.db.bak)
- recreate the
exactly the same here.

steps to reproduce:
- open an application, FIrefox i.e.
- make sure that application's window has focus
- hit your favorite keyboard shortcut to call Beagle-search (mine is F12)
beagle-search appears under the currently focused window.
- hit F12

the device path in xorg.conf from /dev/wacom to /dev/input/wacom.
Here is a working xorg.conf where I added the pad section to get
workin the pad buttons and wheel of my graphire4 (and swapped the stylus

The wacom driver currently included in Feisty beta is 0.7.2, while the latest
released one is 0.7.6-4.
The newer version supports better the most recent Wacom tablets and allows
pressure sensitivity under wine with those.

No, I didn't notice anything similar in breezy or dapper, and I can't remember
exactly but I believe that I solved it in some way on hoary too.
Some kind of dpkg-reconfiguring, I guess.
