Package Firefox with MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1 in environment to enable pixel
scrolling
Still a problem on Ubuntu 20.04 beta, which prevent smooth scrolling in
Firefox.
This bug is not present in some other major distribution, like Fedora.

It's with a touchpad, on a Dell XPS 13 9370 (a pretty well supported
laptop on Linux).
I'm not sure it's a hardware related issue, as smooth scrolling does
work well with regular gtk apps and it also works will with Firefox on a
Fedora USB live session.

get a duplicated icon for Dropbox in Unity Dash. I've tested it
multiple times, after a complete uninstall (remove --purge) of Dropbox

disables the third-party repositories. The only problem is that after
the upgrade is completed, it is not possible to reeanable these third-
party sources (namely here, dropbox and google-music-manager).

As a normal user ans usually happy camper, I came across this report
when wondering what was the difference between installing Dropbox from
Ubuntu repositories (nautilus-dropbox package) than from the package
available on Dropbox website/repository.

I think I've found the way to have the scale preferences set with CCSM
sticky across sessions with a freshly 12.10 installation. Basically,
this is the same workaround than the one suggested in comment #3, except
that we have to use Gsettings, with dconf-editor, instead of Gconf with
gconf-editor
The issue appears to be resolved after latest upgrade, with Unity 6.8.0,
as now, there is a Remove from Launcher option in the contextual menu
of Samba/network shares icons in the Launcher.

I'm on 12.04. Power-indicator icon in the upper/menu bar was fine until
yesterday's update. Now, the icon (when battery is fully charged AC
connected) doesn't match the regular Ubuntu/unity/Ayatana indicators
icon style (like if it was the gnome-shell style used instead).
It might the same issue as bug #772986 and bug #978392... or not! In my
case, on 12.04 freshly updated with Shotwell 0.12.3, the problem occurs
only with Shotwell, as all other open/active apps icons appear in the
launcher, event those that are not pinned.

What I observe is that connecting the GN in ptp mode behaves almost
exactly as it if it was connect as a USB mass storage device, i.e.,

Now, I'm on Oneiric Alpha 3 with the same machine described above and,
strangely, the artifacts problem was gone until latest updates (from
08-25 I think) where many new features have been added to Unity it seems
. Now, artifacts are visible more than ever and, what is new, they
remain after
With the latest updates (Shotwell 0.11.0), the problems appear to be
solved. Will also report upstream, if not done yet.
