Which version of hpt366 bios do you have? There are difference from
1.28b and 1.25, I've read in some site devoted to the BE6 that 1.25 is
the best.

pata_hpt366 is broken. You can use Tejun Heo's patch that posted to linxu-ide
ML.
My HPT366 on ABIT BP6 work fine.

Hi, I'm the one that filled the bug report of hpt366 on hardy, now I've
tryed again in intrepid and the same problem occour. Loaded the system
without the module (blacklisted on the initrd), then manually inserted..
system hang (no error message). I'll attach the information you
requested.
