OK. Now I have installed it again on a laptop. It is a PackardBell EasyNote. I have also added three screenshots. During the installation process it is in Swedish but after reboot it as the screenshots. I can not get the network to work either. Not the wifi and not the cable. It is still useless

OK, so it's a network problem. You cannot download the language-packs from the internet. Because of space restrictions, the swedish language packs, like most language-packs are not shipped on the CD. They need to be downloaded from Internet. Usually the installer takes care of that. But if you

OK, I did an installation in a virtual machine using the Ubuntu desktop CD with the graphical installer in Swedish. The desktop comes up fine and translated in Swedish. See attached screenshot. Steps to reproduce: * in the boot menu choose 'Svenska' as language * 'Installera Ubuntu' * always
