The other bug, 572777, is a problem with the rt2860 driver in the 2.6.32 kernel that Ubuntu lucid came with. Unless the Broadcom chip is using the rt2860 driver (you can check with lshw -C network), I think this might be a separate issue with similar symptoms. -- NetworkManager or wpa_supplicant
