I upgraded to precise but i cannot reproduce it anymore either. (I don't know
the steps though..)
I will watch out for this bug next days carefully.
In oneiric its present for sure because a friend of mine asked me about
that behaviour few days ago.

Any progress on this? This is the only real issue i have with gnome-shell. I
would really like to see this fixed for precise.
Please let me know how to help debugging this.
Right now i assume its a bug in empathy and not gnome-shell. I hope this
is the right place to report instead of the gnome
Ubuntu version 11.10, Gnome-shell, empathy 3.2.0.1.
