I'm not sure if this is the right place to report a situation like this
but I just picked 'Report a Problem' from Firefox. That seemed easy.
So, as for the problem:
I installed beagle for desktop search. Now when I hit F12 the search

I managed to solve the problem listed in this thread. The detail
follows:
I just acquired a Dell Inspiron 600m laptop with a broken CD drive.
After installing Ubuntu 8.04 using an external CD (using the 'help me
boot with the CD' option that is available when Ubuntu 8.04 CD is
inserted with
about that. I am just saying, it might be time to upgrade the
license from free to almost free.

This thread solved my problem with freeplane not finding java.
Specifically the command 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' fixed my stalled
installed of java7 and 'DEBUG_WRAPPER=1 freeplane' made it possible for
