This issue doesn't happen with other streaming media players like Amarok, Kaffeine or VLC on the same machine. It can take up to a minute for Audacious2 to respond and start streaming media from active playlist file links. This does not happen when using the release for Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope

how to reproduce: download to your desktop: http://www.bassdrive.com/v2/streams/BassDrive.pls right click - open with audacious You'll have to wait quite some time for audacious to actually become visible and start playing. At least the gui should come up and show it is loading the stream... --
