I have had a similar issue. I installed kubuntu 7.10 on i386 yesterday,
installed ssh-server, then performed a dist. upgrade. Having said that,
the errors reported when I looked at it with sudo dpkg --configure -a
were about corrupt archives, a removed, purged, cleaned and reinstalled
and things
After the workaround I did, samba started and was usable from a w2k in qemu.
(I did start chmodding only one file and manually starting smbd and then it
complained about another one and then another one...)
I don't know what's incomplete about this bug and I can confirm that it
still exists with
Hello,
Can you provide your ssl configuration so I can reproduce this?

Statement of impact:
This prevents the user from using the mysqlhotcopy script.
How this bug has been addressed:
Hardy originally had a broken mysqlhotcopy script that we tried to fix
in the hardy dev cycle but there was a typo in the patch. I have updated
the patch for 8.04.1 and included it

I marked it as a security vulnerability cause if i leave my terminal
running, anyone can access the remote server, even gain the root access
without entering any passwords.

there's still connection between our PCs, am I right?
