Run into the same issue: the NC didn't have the public key from the CC
(this was an install from packages and I had forgot to copy the CC
public key to the NC).

libnet-snmp-perl is a Recommends, and this is OK - as far as I can see.
It should get installed by default and is not really required.
Objections? After all, we should not cause a diff here to Debian, so I'd
say it should get pushed via Debian, if at all.

I was not successfull in recompiling 2.1.8 for Ubuntu. I opened another
