This is evolving to a subject better discussed at the forums by the way,
as this seems to be a misconfiguration in the stacklet.
The hostname is kept by the kernel in /proc/sys/kernel/hostname. In your
case, it is ubuntu.
What hostname -f does, is the equivalent of running
getent hosts
I've now had a chance to install the PHP5 build from ppa:zulcss/server-
lucid-bug-fixes. With that build, I was able to download a file 2^32
bytes (over the 4.2Gb boundary) successfully. I still need to test the
scripts I have running under Apache2 / PHP5 / Mysql 5.0 from Ubuntu 8.04

I'm getting the same error with restoring an Acronis based image to KVM
on Scientific Linux 5.4. The image is known good, and I just tested to
physical hardware and it boots fine. I hope this can be fixed...

dedicated to ksmd. Whilst I haven't seen it in Lucid, i have
experienced it in Maverick. Smoser witnessed ~17% CPU utilization for
ksmd.
