flashplugin-nonfree does not work unless a 32-libt libcurl is available
that it can dlopen (bug #780573). libcurl itself is multiarch-ready,
but three of its dependencies are not: librtmp0, libldap-2.4-2, and
I've uploaded a multiarch-converted openldap to Debian unstable this
evening.

The bug comes from config/arm using asm statements to define an alias,
rather than using an alias attribute. So even though libgcc2 tries the
belt-and-braces approach of -fvisibility=hidden and GCC visibility
pragmas, the alias still ends up having default visibility. Will test a
fix overnight.

0.97.2 is not in Natty (yet). Could you please try it from the clamav
PPA and let us know if it solves your problem?
You should just
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-clamav/ppa
and then 'apt-get update', this should update your clamav install with
the one from the PPA (0.97.2).

You need to have an Intel Core i7 CPU with AVX extensions, i.e. Sandy
Bridge I think.
Can I ask how you can reproduce this exactly? Running freshclam as root,
or as clamav user is working fine for me, and I don't have any DNS
recursor running on 127.0.0.1 .
Also, I'm no apparmor expert but there is a line in
/etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.freshclam, like this:

I'm very sorry to say that there is one more library needed for libcurl
multiarch installability, which apt hid from me until the other
libraries had all been fixed. libldap-2.4-2 depends on libsasl2-2, so
cyrus-sasl2 would also require a multiarch conversion to get the benefit
here.

this was *not* by design. If the /etc/default/libvirt-bin file exists
it is supposed to be sourced. That is supposed to be the case at least
until the upstart config override files are supported.
This was actually a bug. The file must be re-sourced in each upstart
config section.

libvirt won't start a VM with serial or console
This problem seems to be related to bug #766519. From the dmesg.txt log it
seems you have an Intel I5-2400 CPU with AVX extensions.
There is a fix for this problem in clamav 0.97.2, which is currently in the
clamav PPA. Please enable this PPA and check if the problems gets resolved.
