I cleared away all old samba logs, then ran the command apt-get install

I've not been able to reproduce this issue using the most recent
packages in 11.04.
I notice that you have a package called 'libaio' installed at an older
version - however its not present in the 11.04 archive.
the quoting is required for commands that contain special characters
such as whitespace.
It looks like augeas is not parsing that type of command correctly.
