I had the same error(Bug #873722 ) when upgrading from 11.04 to 11.10. After
this error the upgrade was terminated and the upgrade program notified me that
my upgraded system might be unstable. I did a restart and so far everything
works fine.

I catch your point, Steve, but doesn't it seem silly to have an enabled
service in inted that references binaries that no longer exist on disk?

+dfsg-5ubuntu2.1 to 1.9.1+dfsg-1ubuntu1. Immediately before the
upgrade, I was able to SSH (to a network that uses an older KDC) using
