According to your error log, the problem seems to be the same. You should
change your hostname to be an absolute domain name (FQDN), and then run the
update again.

Public bug reported:
There is a bug within eglibc [1] and [2] which breaks kerberos
authentication functionality for ssh-servers behind NAT gateways as
glibc does a rDNS cannonicalization of hostnames even if you specify
rdns=false in krb5.conf.
There is a workaround implemented in MIT krb5 v.
I tried adding a soft link in as that bug suggested but it doesn't seem
to have helped. I still get the same error messages when I restart
apache2 or whenever the cron job is triggered.

We have a MAAS server on precise which we added cloud-archive precise-
updates/folsom to, which upgraded python-django to
1.4.1-2ubuntu0.2~cloud0. After that, MAAS began failing:

Exception occurred
The verification of this was trivial enough that I did it myself.
Using python-vm-builder version 0.12.4+bzr477-0ubuntu3 from precise-
proposed I did not experience this crash, and I was able to reproduce
the crash with the previous version of python-vm-builder (0ubuntu1).
