As far as I know this call needs a NetBIOS name, so I don't think this
is a bug or a regression. Does smbclient -I IP -L netbios-name
work ?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Lucid Lynx. It would help us greatly if you could

Sorry - I don't know. This is a new backup protocol following two bad
experiences with tape mechanisms, so I have only been doing it for a
couple of months, and only on this version.
If there is still a gutsy box around at work I will try the test script
on that next week.
