I've the same problem. I've just upgraded my host this morning.
All my VMs (Debian and Ubuntu Server) didn't start anymore.

I installed the current Lucid snapshot server (dev branch), selecting
OpenSSH and Virtualization, followed by dist-upgrade. I cannot start my
VM from sudo virsh, which invokes
- LC_ALL=C
I am seeing the same issue after todays update.
