The DRBD Kernel Module is now being built in the Maverick Kernel and the
drbd8 source package has been updated to include the latest utils for
the kernel module.
I'm marking this bug as Fix Released given that I believe that with this
update, this bug has been fixed.

Hi all,
The maverick kernel now includes the drbd module source. However, it is
not yet being built with the maverick kernel and this will be fixed
soon. Once that happens, we'll upload drbd 8.3.8 to maverick and most
likely, will be backported to Lucid.
Just hold on tight for news :)

Ah well, with Maverick life should get more interesting; drbd is part of
2.6.35 so in principal if it gets enabled then there should be no need
for the separate -source package.
It's listed as one of the kernel options that need turning on in bug
589439 for Maverick, and I've just added a comment

I think the smoking gun here is the kernel version; that's the drbd8-source
package from lucid, but lucid is 2.6.32-23;
the reporter has a much newer (2.6.36-020634) kernel, and not too
unsurprisingly the old patch doesn't work against it.
